Our Ski-World Wilder Kaiser Brixental has been awarded as
"Best Resort Development"
Only two ski-resorts worldwide, which have the best, innovative and highest further development, get these awards.
Our Ski-World Wilder Kaiser Brixental have gotten the award for the new and modern cable car, which connects Westendorf and Brixen. With the winter season 2008/09 the cable car will open and with it also a new ski piste.
The other ski-resort, which have gotten the award, is the Canadien Ski-Resort Whistler Mountain. The awards ceremony took place in the dignified halls of the "National Liberal Club" in London. The prices have been awarded from the english "Where to Ski & Snowboard Guide", the leading ski-resort atlas in the english speaking regions.
Like every year our golf tournament week of the founder hotels took place from the 06. till the 13. July 2008 on the golf course "Wilder Kaiser". In this week the golfer's heart gets everything, what it needs. Exciting tournaments, unique treats at our "Gourmet Tournament" and a gala-party in the Heustadl.

We are pleased to inform you that we have finished our new natural swimming lake with a marvellous view to the "Wilder Kaiser".
On Friday, the 30th May 2008 there was the official inauguration of our new swimming lake. We celebrated with a special 8-course degustation menu. There were numerous guests from Ellmau invited.
Like every year we were tested by anonymous testers. We are pleased that Gault Millau has awarded us again with 2 toques and 16 points.
We were also tested by the Falstaff Gourmet Guide. They complimented us for our regional and fresh meals and for our great wine cellar.
We were also recognised both by "Gault Millau" and "Teekanne" and presented, in a beautiful ceremony in Vienna, The Golden Tealeaf award.
....our Maître d' Hotel was again successful
Karl Rotheneder passed in Klosterneuburg the exam for the certified wine taster. Now he is in the committee, which give away the test numbers for Austrian wines.
Congratulations.....we are very very proud!!!!
Karl Rothenender was also voted ‘Austrian Sommelier of the year 2007’ by Bertelsmann publishing house.
12 more TV series from the POPULAR Bergdoktor will be filmed in a few days in Ellmau....the doctor's sugery is directly on the way to the Kaiserhof.
